Pros: Great sound, three size ear caps
Cons: Cable design odd, box hard to open
The Bottom Line: Can't afford Bose? Sony fries your ears? These may do the trick.
Review: *This review is based on initial impressions. Long term review will be added later.* I was looking for a good pair of noise cancelling headphones that wouldn't leave me in the poorhouse. I'd used a pair of Bose at the Apple store, but they were as ...

Pros: Price, feel, noise canceling actually works.
Cons: Battery case is in a very inconvenient place. Cord gets tangled easily.
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for something that has noise canceling but are unprepared to pay a lot of money, get them! They actually work.
Review: So, here's my story: I happened to be shopping at Target the day before my international flight (17hrs of flying) and saw these headphones. The price: roughly $30 was the largest plus for noise canceling headphones. I had heard bad things about noise ...

Seems to work on plane but hurts my ears

Pros: Seem to work well at the front of an aircraft
Cons: They hurt my ears and gave me a headache almost immediately.
The Bottom Line: Give them a shot if you regularly use in-the-ear earbuds.
Review: Just before a flight between Dallas and Detroit (a little less than 3 hours flight time) I purchased a set of Philips Active Noise Canceling in the ear earbuds (HN060) at Target because they were on clearance. The regular price was $49.99, they were ...

Work on Planes and Super Easy to Travel With

Pros: Easy for travel. Block sound on planes. Good bass for small buds. Multiple size options.
Cons: Carrying a spare battery.
Long-time wear can irritate skin in ear. The Bottom Line: Recommended for anyone not willing to spend $150 for noise cancelling. Highly recommended for travel.
Review: Travelling all the time, you learn to lighten the load of what you have to carry. I liked my huge earphones with all the sponge and cushion but my ears started to chafe after a while ... then I borrowed these little tiny ones from my brother one day ...

For the price, they're great

Pros: For the price, you can't beat them
Cons: the box that holds the battery and electronics is in a weird place.
Review: While I don't think the noise cancelling electronics are that impressive (they just seem like a small pre-amp that makes the sound louder), they cut quite a bit of noise. I fly a lot and I really don't hear the airplane noise if music is playing. The ...

Pros: Relatively inexpensive, good ear seal
Cons: Control box
Review: I work in an auto shop w/patrol cars so sirens, air tools, hammering and air compressor are constantly in the background. These earplugs work great they reduce background noise just by their design, the noise reduction circuit seems more like a preamp. ...

Pros: good sound quality, good fitting earbuds.Less then 20 bucks!
Cons: the damn box
Review: I have had these buds for couple of months now. I fly often (on average 4 times a week)on both jet aircraft and propeller aircraft. it has worked well in both environments. would be nice if the box would have a clip on it, and a separate volume control. ...

not "active" noise canceling

Pros: work like similar priced ($20-$30) in-ear earbuds
Cons: not "active" noise-canceling; small control box adds bulk
The Bottom Line: They are better (but not much) for a plane ride than regular in-ear earbuds at the same price.
Review: "Active noise canceling" means that the circuitry should actively listen for noise and generate sound waves to cancel out (usually low frequency hum) noise. There is no microphone which listens for noise and no circuity to cancel unwanted noise, ...

Pros: Price, good sound quality for the price
Cons: Lots of little, annoying faults in the design.
Review: The headphones themselves are pretty good, but they are also quite a pain in the butt. Here's Why: The battery box, and on/off switch sets right in the middle of your stomach, and is quite large for its purpose. If you lose your little earplug caps, ...

Pros: They sound great, and they reduce outside noise.
Cons: They don't last.
The Bottom Line: A shame they don't last. I really liked them.
Review: I really love my P
hilips
HDD6330 30GB MP3 player . And I listen to it all the time, just about every day actually. Most of the time, I'm using my P
hilips
HE-592 headphones with them ...
