by   zenstar812 ,  Nov 18, 2000
Pros: economical, safe, comfortable, decent amount of room, easy to handle
Cons: none, unless you want something with more horsepower
Review: Now, I have no claim to fame as far as knowing all about cars, but I will tell you that my '92 Plymouth Sundance has treated me well. I will also tell you that I live near Fairbanks, Alaska and at the thought of that, you should all be shivering. Up...

Cannot Beat This Little Thing!

by   kurbs ,  Feb 1, 2007
Pros: Good size, economical, strong little car.
Cons: The stalk controls are a pain.
The Bottom Line: For the money, this makes a solid used car you can trust to keep your kids safe in, and not burn a weeks pay in gas.
Review: I was looking around for a solid car that would be reliable and economical for a teenager. After researching used cars, I remembered my brothers old Dodge Shadow, which is the same car basically as the Sundance. I wanted the 2.5 liter engine ...

With gas prices high, I really miss my Sundance!

by   jn_owensboro ,  Apr 23, 2008
Pros: Gas mileage, ride, reliability, versatility
Cons: Weak paint, rust, touchy clutch & accelerator until you get used to them
The Bottom Line: I wish I'd never sold mine, and would buy another in a heartbeat. If you get the chance, GO FOR IT!
Review: My wife and I were talking about cars recently, and we both thought back to the first car we owned when we got married in 2002. That car was a Raspberry Red (think metallic magenta) 1992 Plymouth Sundance America coupe, which we purchased for the ...

by   NiamhX ,  Feb 16, 2000
Pros: good gas mileage, easy to drive, safe, airbags, affordable
Cons: not much power, not for those who want a fast car
Review: My first vehicle was a 1992 Plymouth Sundance America, given to me in 1997 by my parents shortly before I got my driver's license. My mom had purchased it new, and turned it over to me when it had 84,000 miles on it.

My second car

by   gumpn ,  Dec 19, 1999
Pros: large trunk, good passenger room, good highway mileage, little and inexpensive repair (so far!)
Cons: all of the back seat folds down, not enough room for lots of people AND things
Review: I bought my 1992 Plymouth Sundance in 1998, after I was in a car accident. It's a two door hatchback, with enough room to sit five (sometimes six if someone's really skinny). This is a wonderful car for a student. It's small, compact, but big enough to...

Won't stop running

by   nikkiusaf ,  Nov 11, 2001
Pros: Built like a tank, comfortable inside, decent gas mileage
Cons: bad paint, getting old, transmissions are unreliable
The Bottom Line: Great car if you need a way to work or school and cant afford much.
Review: I bought my 92 Sundance for $1700 at 72,000 miles and in great shape. It has driven from California to Maryland, fully loaded down, with only the usual problems that are to be expected from an aging car (power steering leak, worn out shocks and brakes)....

Great car for your $$$

by   VSAvatar ,  May 12, 2000
Pros: Inexpensive, easy to fix, quiet and comfortable
Cons: Some expensive but common mechanical failures, A/C lasts for 3 years normally
Review: When I bought my 1992 Sundance in 1998 I was a bit worried at first because it was a used car, which we know had previously been in an accident (The new front end and hood could have told us that), and because I had never financed a car before. After I...
