shockingly reliable, and pretty good performance overall...

by   letmehelpyou ,  Dec 17, 2000
Pros: reliable
Cons: Chrysler
Review: I just thought I should write an opinion on this car, because it has been very good to me in a bad situation. My parents bought their Sundance new in '94. Since than my father has put almost 90,000 miles on it. Even with all those miles there have...

considerate

by   country_turtle ,  Jun 13, 2000
Pros: sporty looking, great first car
Cons: not spacious
Review: I'm 16 years old and I currently don't have a license, yet. My parents bought me a '94 Plymouth Sundance Duster on my 16th birthday. I do, however, have my permit. I've been driving this vehicle for a month and to all the teens out there, this car is...

Decent Car

by   Morloqili ,  Nov 6, 2000
Pros: Great economy, decent acceleration, reliable
Cons: could be a bit larger
Review: I just recently bought my first Chrysler produced automobile, a 1993 Plymouth Sundance, and so far am very impressed. I have owned many cars in my short life (two Ford Escorts, a Mercury Topaz, a Chevy Cavalier and a Chevette, and the worst, a Toyota...

Like the Engergizer Bunny...Keeps Going and Going!!!

by   sethed ,  Jan 9, 2001
Pros: Good Fuel Economy, Great Reliability With 2.5L 4-cylinder Engine
Cons: Could Be Roomier Inside, Can You Say "Outdated Styling"?
The Bottom Line: They don't make them anymore, so if you are in the market for a good, cheap car and see reasonable used Sundance, buy it!
Review: I went to a used car lot to see what kind of cars they might have in my price range. They had mostly older or high mileage vehicles. I own a 1992 Plymouth Acclaim with a little over 180,000 miles on it. It has been extremely reliable and durable, so I ...

Solid First Car

by   joeguy ,  Aug 25, 2000
Pros: Solid all around car
Cons: not pretty to look at, no pick-up
Review: I bought a 94 Plymouth Sundance Hatchback just after I graduated college because I needed a car with better gas mileage to go to and from school which was a much further distance than high school. I think its PERFECT for teens and young guys in...

WHAT'S THAT PASSING US MOM? "IT'S A TURTLE SON"

by   RobKlein ,  Apr 16, 2000
Pros: Will last you forever, does not break down
Cons: No Power, Poor Stereo System!
Review: Before you think of purchasing this car, keep in mind, there is no power whatsoever, so if you are running late, you will be definitely not make it in time. Do not get me wrong, it is a very nice, affordable car, and will last a life time, but it lacks...

Don't run the air conditioner if you're getting on the highway.

by   kellogg5 ,  Mar 27, 2001
Pros: Most reliable car I've ever owned. Update 2006: Hallelujah
Cons: Lots of rattles, stay in the slow lane. Fuel pump relays bad.
The Bottom Line: There have been better quality economy cars. You can't beat the gas mileage, but the comfort level is very low, and don't expect a speed demon.
Review: Update 2006: Five years after I have written the review below, I am still driving this car! The air conditioning doesn't even work anymore and there are problems with the fuel pump relays causing me to bog down while accelerating. But it is still ...

Advantage Chrysler? NOT!!!

by   goldjay ,  Jan 21, 2000
Pros: luring pricetag, nice package deal
Cons: low quality, major headaches
Review: As goes the warranty, so goes the car's performance! I owned a four cylinder, 2.2 liter Plymouth Sundance America and also the "pocket rocket" six cylinder, 3.0 liter Plymouth Sundance Duster. Both cars had automatic transmissions. The...

Driving School

by   ahussain176 ,  Sep 21, 2000
Pros: rock solid "abuse me" build
Cons: interior, engine, rear seat
Review: The first car I ever "legally" drove when I was getting my license was a Sundance. Our driving school had a fleet of these things which suffered a lot of abuse at the hands of inexperienced drivers. I believe it was a 94 model I drove for the...

Me: What's a K-car? Dad: What you have.

by   carradee ,  Jul 29, 2006
Pros: It works & can get 25 mi./gal.
Cons: Prone to break in the weirdest ways, little power, poor gas mileage, small
The Bottom Line: This is a cheap (quality) car.
Review: What a marvelous car. I'm absolutely elated that in less than a year of owning it, I've had to put a few hundred dollars into it. Is that maintenance? I'm sorry, that's fixing the ignition that broke, needing the entire key element replaced, and ...
