Review: Everyone knows the phrase, "Mad mom with a mini van" As of 2 years ago, this is me! After the birth of my now 4 year old son, I knew I was going to need a more "family" oriented vehicle. But..what to get?? I finally broke down and...

Who? ME? In a minivan?

by   rhizu ,  Jun 9, 2000
Pros: I can see! And it starts every time!
Cons: I need monkey arms to reach the window/radio controls.
Review: The time to get a newer car was two weeks ago. It was a tough call, but when my only semi-reliable source of transportation left me stranded twice in one week... Well, it made my choice easier.

I had been looking on line, reading reviews and...

Good Used Van

by   grantd ,  Dec 9, 2001
Pros: dual sliding doors, very powerful engine, smooth ride, great for families
Cons: very poorly lit headlights, changing air filter is impossible, air bag
The Bottom Line: Buy used one that's had bugs worked out of it. Make sure previous owner gives you all paperwork so you can verify repairs/maintenance.
Review: Bought our '97 from the first owner with 40K on it for $9K. Put new Michelin X1's all around and new front Monroe Sensatrac struts. Also needed new battery. Orig. owners did maintenance by the book so the van runs great.

This is our first van...

Love mine and Looking forward to the Next!

by   BlondQ ,  Jan 29, 2000
Pros: Lots of room, "drives like a car"
Cons: could use standard AC in back
Review: We bought our Voyager (Base model) 2 years ago. In that time we have taken numerous weekend trips, carpooled countless Girl Scouts and used it for our own *theater* while at the Drive-In. I LOVE mine! I probably said the same thing others did. Me? A mini...

Good family truckster

by   ganley ,  Sep 29, 1999
Pros: Big, comfortable, rides well
Cons: Hard to reconfigure, possible long-term maintenance problems
Review: We have a 1998, about 2.5 years old with 38,000 miles. It's a very comfortable car, rides well, holds vast amounts of people (7 comfortably) or cargo (we've taken all the seats out and used it as a moving van). The V6 engine gives just enough power -...

Review: We leased this vehicle, for 2 reasons. 1) We have a large family of 6, and 2) We needed a new car. I would not have chose any other model. We were lucky to get plenty of options in our van, such as built in child seats, and air conditioning in the back...
