Batmobile!!!!

by   chrishawk4 ,  Feb 9, 2006
Pros: Acceleration! Handling! Extremely Comfortable! Very powerful, especially with some non-expensive upgrades.
Cons: Repairs.... sometimes can bog the fun down.
The Bottom Line: I recommend this car hands down, due to the fact that it is a blast to drive, and is reasonable for the daily driver. God Bless!
Review: I purchased a 1998 Pontiac Firebird with 82,800 miles on it, as my first car. The car cost me $5,700. This car inside and out reminds me of the Batmobile! The car has a T-Top, tinted windows, and rims. I plan to put an exhaust on it in April to spice up ...

Has been reliable and fun!

by   evanbroc ,  Jan 29, 2005
Pros: Performance, style
Cons: Sub-par interior, rear seat room
The Bottom Line: You know just by looking at it if this is the car for you. I say buy it!
Review: Reliability - I purchased my 98 Trans Am 3 years ago with 12,000 miles on it, and have since then racked up 62,000 and it's still running as strong as the day I got it. I've had a couple minor things go, such as the brake light switch, headlight motor ...

I had the bucks, so....

by   Motor_Head ,  Jun 19, 2001
Pros: Power, Handling, Bang for the Buck
Cons: Insurance, back seat
The Bottom Line: This is just a great performance car at a Japanese economy car price
Review: Man, what I year I've had. I've had to make sacrifices and compromises I never thought I would. I finally got some bucks back and the first area I was going to "un-compromise" was my car. I had been driving an 89 V-6 Firebird. It was a great little...

The Last of the V8s: The Pontiac Trans Am

by   banditws6 ,  Apr 23, 2002
Pros: Mega power, TORQUE monster, that beautiful V8 sound, looks, fuel economy
Cons: Workmanship is hit-or-miss
The Bottom Line: The muscle car lives. This 'Bird is ready for takeoff and it's a power monger's dream.
Review: In 1967 Pontiac Motor Division created the Firebird, their entry in the fledgling "pony-car" market initiated by Ford's Mustang. Thirty years later, the Firebird (and its more potent older brother, Trans Am) has matured into one America's finest...

THIS CAR ROCKS!!!

by   wicadwitchw ,  Jul 1, 2000
Pros: Power, beauty, handling, maneuverability
Cons: gas consumption, insurance costs
Review: As soon as I saw the Firebird Trans Am on the lot I made a u-turn and went back, I just had to drive this car. The Firebird restyled for 1998 is a guaranteed head turner and it turned my head pronto.
The car is gorgeous inside & out,...

98 is a Great Year for Firebirds.

by   PMellEagle ,  Dec 15, 1999
Pros: Handling, Appearance, Sound (with Pontiac Monsoon upgrade)
Cons: Not extremely comfortable, suspension is sports-car type, not luxury-car type.
Review: Epinion Updated 6-3-00!

Pontiacs target clientele is those with a touch of "flair" & "charisma"... much like this car. The 1998 Firebird that I drive daily is far and away the best car I've ever owned. It...

WOW!!!

by   Hakushi ,  Mar 25, 2000
Pros: value, efficiency
Cons: anymore than 2 adults is cruel
Review: I bought my Trans AM in the fall of 1997 and I've been in love with it ever since. I purchased the fully loaded model and most of the accessories are never used, but might come in handy someday.
Super v8, with awesome road control and...

TA ALL THE WAY

by   ericae ,  Mar 30, 2001
Pros: Sporty - FAST- Great Features
Cons: INSURANCE
The Bottom Line: 1998 PONTIAC TRANS AM IS A CAR THAT EVERYONE SHOULD EXPERIENCE.
Review: I OWN A 1998 PONTIAC TRANS AM. THIS IS THE BEST CAR I HAVE OWNED BY FAR. IT HAS GREAT LOOKS THAT REALLY TURN HEADS - THE POWER UNDER THE HOOD IS MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR EVEN THE BIGGEST RACE FAN AND THE COMFORT INSIDE(EVEN THOUGH IT IS VERY COMPACT) IS...

WS6 for me please

by   ubet426 ,  Dec 27, 1999
Pros: Looks Great, Runs Great
Cons: VERY HIGH INSURANCE COST
Review: When you walk into the Pontiac store and you ask to see a new Trans Am, don't let them show you anything but the WS6 with the 6 speed manual. I drove the stock TA with an Automatic, and my Saab outran it. The WS6 pakage not only changes the cosmetics,...

Most Bang For Your Buck

by   ZZXF ,  Jan 6, 2000
Pros: horsepower, torque, speed, beautiful styling
Cons: trunk/back seat room, reliability
Review: There is no other car on the market that offers as much horsepower as the Firebird for as low a price. It's sleek style and impressive power is reminiscent of the old 60's muscle cars, allowing its driver to feel the strength of 305 horses beneath it as...
