Pontiac Excitement!

by   surferdude7 ,  Jan 21, 2001
Pros: It has Plenty of Room and a Smooth Ride.
Cons: The price, a fully loaded one costs about $35,000.
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a smooth ride with performance and comfort than I highly recommend the 2001 Bonneville SSEi.
Review: Excitement it is with three different models to choose from the SE, SLE, and SSEi. This review will mainly be on the SSEi model with a 240 horsepower supercharged 3.8L V-6.

You talk about excitement the 2001 Bonneville SSEi not only handles...

Well built family sedan.

by   justwint ,  Jan 15, 2002
Pros: Roomy, comfortable ride. Plenty of power.
Cons: Head rest is useless.
The Bottom Line: A vehicle that I enjoy driving as much as looking at
Review: Purchased a Bonneville SE from CarsDirect in May 2001. Was
going to purchase a Grand Prix because of its sportier look,
but decided a Bonneville was worth the extra few thousand dollars for its roominess and smoother ride.
My favorite...

SOLID PERFORMANCE SEDAN!

by   toasty ,  Nov 9, 2000
Pros: Looks, performance
Cons: cant quite squeeze into mini parking spaces
Review: This Pontiac powerhouse is amazing! The 3800 engine is supremely powerfull, with no hesitation to perform under one's hard pressing foot.
The interior has loads and loads of room, and is very very comfortable, altough there are almost too many...

Family Car with Style & Performance

by   bestyear ,  Dec 18, 2000
Pros: Good room, large trunk, plenty of power, good head lights and safety features.
Cons: Poor placement of the Speedometer and Radio
The Bottom Line: This is a really nice car.
Review: I recently rented this 2001 Pontiac Bonneville.
I didn't think I'd like it at first and to tell the truth
it took me several miles driving in it before I did like it.

This sleek four door sedan has style and a sporty look....

Sporty Sedan for the Masses

by   shafe76 ,  Dec 22, 2003
Pros: Tried and true drivetrain, nice looking exterior design.
Cons: Wind noise at highway speeds, poor wet traction with OEM tires.
The Bottom Line: The New-Style Bonney continues to look good. I would recommend this car to someone who has a small family and does not want to join the minivan club.
Review: I was in the market for a reasonably-priced full-sized sporty car that would take my whole family on the interstate to visit relatives or around town shopping in relative comfort. My wife and myself, then my 6 year old son, 5 year old daughter and 3 ...

A Real Road Cruiser

by   silverkris ,  Aug 17, 2001
Pros: Powerful engine, stable handling, exterior appearance, convenience features
Cons: placement and complexity of stereo & climate controls, shape of rear seat
The Bottom Line: The Bonneville is a solid and powerful contender as a sports sedan.
Review: I rented a Bonneville as a temporary replacement while my usual car is in the shop for body repair, and would like to share my impressions with everyone.

The exterior is quite sleek and aggressive, yet surprisingly quite tasteful and...

Who is this car for?

by   Motokichi ,  May 24, 2001
Pros: Large 4 Door sedan
Cons: Pontiac sells a better car for less
The Bottom Line: A solid sedan that is overwhelmed by too much makeup.
Review: I rented a Bonneville in Denver for an overnight business trip. I logged about a quarter of a tank, which is roughly 100 miles of mostly highway driving.

The Bonneville is an aggressively styled, large 4 door sedan. This particular car was...

Nice near luxury car

by   elzora ,  Apr 19, 2001
Pros: Very comfortable, plush car! Near luxury car.
Cons: Price, bigger than our garage would accommodate.
The Bottom Line: Good sports car with a lot of power.
Review: Our shopping experience
Before we bought our new car, we shopped around a lot, and compared the Bonneville to the Buick Regal, Nissan Maxima, Toyota Avalon and the Olds Aurora. The Bonneville was VERY impressive, and a nice looking car. ...

"Bonnie" report ....

by   scolley ,  Mar 23, 2001
Pros: Lots of room, sturdy handling, awesome lights inside at night.
Cons: Placement of radio behind gear shift, tachometer behind steering wheel.
The Bottom Line: A PERFECT FAMILY CAR, TRAVEL CAR OR COMMUTING CAR. LARGE, PLUSH, COMFORTABLE AND STURDY - WITH A LITTLE BIT OF STYLE.
Review: This is my first large size vehicle purchase. I've always bought small to mid-size vehicles. Most large size vehicles feel like they are driving you. They are not easy to control. This vehicle is large, but when you are inside it doesn't feel like your...

Pontiac's Other Flyer

by   CM400a ,  Nov 17, 2000
Pros: styling, drivetrain
Cons: price
Review: The 2001 Pontiac Bonneville is one of the best four door American cars made. Redesigned for 2001 the Bonneville retains a vastly similar drivetrain to past models but boasts a complete visual change. Although, I did like the styling of the past models,...
