A Great Daddy Sling

by   peterghelfrich ,  Sep 10, 2005
Pros: Safe, secure, comfortable for baby and wearer, good looking
Cons: Not adjustable enough for smaller men, or probably most women
The Bottom Line: An excellent sling-style baby carrier that's perfect for daddy's -- easy to use, comfortable, good looking. Baby and dad will both love it.
Review: I've used this sling with my son since he came home from the hospital -- nine weeks now. I take him for a daily three-mile walk, and frequent trips to the grocery and department stores. That said, I haven't encountered many of the problems raised by ...

Easy, versatile and stylish

by   mkunkel70 ,  Nov 3, 2006
Pros: Great looking and easy to adjust around the baby.
Cons: Creates lower back pain if not worn correctly.
Review: The sling is easy to put on and easy to adjust around the baby. This was the only sling I could find that allowed me to adjust the tension around the baby. My 4month old daughter rides lying down, sitting sideways and sitting face-forward like a ...

Great for hip carry

by   hockeygal22 ,  Jan 15, 2004
Pros: great for hip carry, easy to use, great color(tan)
Cons: had to replace the plastic clips with stronger ones
Review: I received this as a gift from a friend who traveled to Europe. She said this was all the rage over there. I did not use this carrier as an infant carrier - he has always in the car seat. My son is now 5 months old and we LOVE this bag. I tote him ...

Not too bad

by   maddieandisaak ,  Dec 25, 2003
Pros: Great for holding baby on the hip, good color and fabric choices.
Cons: Expensive, hard to adjust. Clasp broke THE FIRST TIME we used it!
Review: I was really excited to try this out but had a really hard time getting my son into it and then he seemed so uncomfortable. One of the clasps broke the first time i put it in. I would recommend it for use when putting baby on your hip but not as a ...

Stylish, but painful! Good for lighter babies

by   sb_sweetie ,  Apr 19, 2005
Pros: Hip-looking! Pockets are great! It's adjustable for mom & dad.
Cons: Becomes uncomfortable fast! Expensive!
The Bottom Line: Though I loved the look & the pockets of the Premaxx, I think there are more comfortable slings out there. It's too expensive for how uncomfortable it becomes.
Review: I have used the Premaxx New Edition since the birth of my son. He is now 3 months and 15 pounds (he was 10 pounds at birth). I stopped using it a few weeks ago because it's just too painful. I guess I have extensive sling/carrier experience because ...

Unnecessarily Complicated

by   joselyns ,  Oct 14, 2005
Pros: Hip - almost like a outdoors backpack styling Pockets!
Cons: -Difficult adjustment, none while wearing -Time-consuming, bulky, less versatility than ring slings
The Bottom Line: Get a Maya Wrap instead. Simpler, more versatile, more beautiful.
Review: I had a friend (who sees me wearing my baby in a sling all the time) bemoan the fact that she was having a rough time with her sling. She said by the time she got the baby in and situated, he was screaming because it took so long. She begged me to ...

disappointed!!!

by   enayati ,  Jan 11, 2005
Pros: Good fabric; wide straps have potential to be more comfortable.
Cons: Difficult to tighten clasps; no way to secure a sitting baby; uncomfortable.
Review: I was so excited to get this product, but it was very disappointing. I used it for my 6-month old. The clasps were hard to tighten, the baby seemed like she was going to fall out of the bottom, and the sling never got tight enough to be comfortable for ...

DEFINITELY A LOSER

by   dutchy ,  Nov 16, 2003
Pros: can't think of any
Cons: clasp is uncomfortable for mother, drawstrings are uncomfortable for baby. Not adjustable while wearing.
The Bottom Line: This bag is inferior in terms of comfort and versatility. Poorly adjustable. Not suitable for babies to lie in cradlehold.
Review: Baby seemed folded double in the bag after it took two of us just to get him in -- He cried bloody murder until we took him out! Several tries to help him lie comfortably were failed ones. He hated it. The bag is not well fitting for smaller adults ( ...

Uncomfortable and hard to use

by   butterfly23 ,  May 17, 2008
Pros: None
Cons: Hard and painful to use Son hated it too
The Bottom Line: Save your money
Review: Once my son outgrew his front carrier I decided to buy one that could switch between a laying down for drinking a bottle to wearing him on my hip since thats how I always carried him anyways but it would allow me more freedom. I got this one as it was ...

Difficult to use

by   lylajames ,  Nov 5, 2003
Pros: The premaxx comes in a variety of nifty colors
Cons: Drawstrings cut into babies skin, potentially cutting off circulation. Impossible to wear without assistance.
Review: This carrier is a hassle and is cheaply made, the drawstrings on this carrier are a pain to use and very uncomfortable for precious baby . ...
