Poke me, push it, poke it, push me, prick the button somebody.

by   cntaur5 ,  Apr 30, 2005
Pros: Every thing you've liked about The Chemical Brothers is right here.
Cons: All of the song's won't cross over.
The Bottom Line: Overall, I really like the rhythm and feel of this entire album.
Review: The Chemical Brothers, latest venture titled, Push Button is a sweet album that sounds like a well-mixed hybrid of groove based beats, eastern styled harmony and electronically fused music that bundled in one giant glass beaker of ...

Chemical Brothers....I Still Believe

by   x_helix_x ,  May 28, 2005
Pros: Shows the Chemical Brothers can still make quality albums ten years after the debut album
Cons: none
The Bottom Line: This album is another superb one from The Chemical Brothers, a good one to have in the collection.
Review: Well it's another year and another release for the legends that are the Chemical Brothers. The Chemical Brothers are two guys called Tom and Ed; the pair met while at university in Manchester in the late eighties. At this time a revolution was going ...

Chemical Brothers - Push The Button ("Hold Tight London" yes please!!!)

by   bramwell ,  Mar 11, 2005
Pros: Serious variety! Hold Tight London
Cons: Don't listen to this with a hangover!
The Bottom Line: This album is just mind-blowing! I'm not joking in anyway, you won't find much better dance albums in any record store!
Review: You want a brilliant and varied dance album then seriously look no further! The Mancunian masters of sound have pulled another truly superb album out of their recording hats. After "Surrender" I didn't think the Brothers could pull off another album ...

by   castsos ,  Feb 11, 2005
Pros: Lyrics, arrangements, everything!
Cons: Only 11 songs!
Review: I haven't been a great fan of Chemical Brothers earlier works, but this album truly won me over. They have travelled far since their "Block Rockin y have arrived in a sound that is truly emotional and intelligent. The album is Electronic music, but they ...

The Time Has Come to Start a Revolution

by   soothsayer ,  Feb 5, 2005
Pros: Innovative.
Cons: Some tracks need work.
The Bottom Line: The Chemical Brothers explore what may lurk in their future.
Review: I like this album. Forget the block-rocking beats of last century. This is the new, more adventurous Chemical Brothers exploring their musical horizons, trying to decide which direction to take. Luckily, for us, many of the songs are good, with ...

The Chems fail to push the right buttons

by   submerge76 ,  Mar 17, 2005
Pros: Hold Tight London, Close Your Eyes
Cons: Mediocre compared to the rest of the Chemical Brothers albums
The Bottom Line: Competent, but not stellar album by electronic music kings.
Review: To last a decade in Electronic music is a fairly remarkable feat so I tip the hat to The Chemical Brothers. Unfortunately, like their compadres The Orb, Orbital, Prodigy and Underworld that means their is an increasing pressure to innovate and stay ...
