The Whole Glorious Shebang

Pros: Uncut Der Rosenkavalier beautifully sung with great orchestration
Cons: Long and sometimes very slow moving
The Bottom Line: This is probably the best performed un-cut Der Rosenkavalier. Tho Solti's tempo is slower than most. Highly recommended for die hard fans. Less so for more casual ones.
Review: This is one of the very few recordings of Der Rosenkavalier in its entirety (no cut at all)... and so is very very very long. It is worth sitting thru the 3 disc's and 199 minutes of this wonderful musical performance of Richard Strauss' most melodic ...
