Awesome headphones!

by   susanhas3kats ,  Sep 13, 2007
Pros: Comfortable, easy to hook up, durable, light weight
Cons: none that I can think of
The Bottom Line: These are a must have for music and movie lovers. They are well worth the price and will last you for years.
Review: I purchased these wireless headphones for my husband about 2 years ago for Christmas. Last year I bought myself a similar pair from the same company. Both of them are awesome! First of all, these are a must have for any home and especially apartment ...

Great short distance headphones

by   hicksj99 ,  Dec 21, 2002
Pros: The sound is really as good as advertised. The bass is great;not hype.
Cons: The "300 foot range" through walls and floors does not approach being true.
The Bottom Line: For sound quality, especially good, deep bass, these are the ones. When located near the transmitter, it is hard to believe that these headphones are wireless.
Review: These wireless headphones are well worth the price compared to others.
The 300' range is not true. I have no idea how they came up with that claim unless the 300' meant detecting a signal of any kind (at least static) from a distance of around 100...

Good product, bad sound

by   woolley07 ,  Jan 31, 2005
Pros: Wireless, good fit/sound Battery life
Cons: Fuzz
Review: This product, considering the fact that the technology is just emerging, is a good one. The wireless distance is good, I can do outside work with them on. They are simple to use, and fit nicely. The only problem is that if you don't have the settings ...

Qualified Good

by   ouhnoikc ,  Sep 9, 2005
Pros: 1. Tremendous bass 2. The audio cables are not fixed to the transmitter
Cons: 1. Uses 550 mAh AAA batteries 2. No audio level control
The Bottom Line: Wouldn't pay more than $39.99. Should satisfy until a true Dolby Digital set of headphones using RF is released in the U.S.
Review: Below is a review of the Acoustic Research AW791 headphones. Overall, the headphones deserve 3.5 stars. The GOOD 1) Tremendous bass If you have a home theater system and you use the headphones during quiet hours, you'll be constantly ...

Sizzle to spare

by   nanuq ,  Oct 31, 2003
Pros: Comfortable, easy to tune with the sending unit. Punchy.
Cons: Way way way way way WAY too much high end!
Review: I bought these headphones for my "home" pair after buying a pair of inexpensive Advent 720 wireless for use at work. I love the sound of the Advents so I was jazzed about getting the ARs... more expensive = better sound, right? When they arrived they ...

Give it time

by   audioslave ,  Dec 26, 2005
Pros: Comfortable, good surround sound effects, decent signal to 20 paces or so, inexpensive.
Cons: Fuzzy, but hey, they are wireless...
Review: So initially i was very disapointed by the sound. But once i found a good place for the receiver, the signal got better. Also, i can't explain it, but the signal seemed to get better over a few days... May be in my head, but i don't think so. So ...

Not too bad, but not too good either.

by   sean_shooks ,  Mar 17, 2009
Pros: Fairly good frequency response. Very comfortable. 3-inputs
Cons: SNR is lower then marked. Swivel right above cups breaks easily. Range too short EXPENSIVE
Review: The sound quality of the headphones is not bad at all. They hit the bass surprisingly well, while this is not the biggest feature it is good for not being a key feature. The surround sound feature is barely noticeable, it sounds different when turned o ...

Stay Away!

by   pws1 ,  May 20, 2003
Pros: Great Surround Sound. Good choice of inputs.
Cons: Terrible construction. Guaranteed to physically break.
The Bottom Line: Forget these as they are junk.
Review: These are a huge waste of money and you have no recourse with the manufacturer when something goes wrong. They look and feel good on your head nut the cheap plastic breaks with ease, almost to the point of just sitting there.

The company is...

An exercise in frustration.

by   mboszko ,  Jul 30, 2002
Pros: Comfortable, accepts coax digital, optical digital (TOSLink), and analog (RCA) audio all at once.
Cons: Surround not very surround-like, wireless signal is noisy.
The Bottom Line: The lack of performance isn't worth even this relatively low price.
Review: These headphones are marketed with the promise that they (to quote the box) "create an acoustic environment that is virtually identical to that of a movie theater or a live musical performance. " The box also states "New, patented 900MHz technology...
