Pros: stainless, steam options including vertical use, heavy duty but light
Cons: a bit expensive at $80
The Bottom Line: Wonderful choice - easy to use and very good results - makes ironing fun again if used with the Rowenta ironing board.
Review: Rowenta Focus DZ5080 Iron.. I started doing a bit more sewing in my free time and needed an iron which worked a bit better than my regular one. In addition, my daughter started using my old iron to melt her Perler beads and I couldnt trust ...

Pros: Light, ergonomic, very good design, very good heat as good as a professional iron.
Cons: Only like 1500W heat though 1700W. Is nearly double price of B&D.
Review: After using GE, Shark and Black & Decker, I moved over to Rowenta Focus DZ5080. This is a great iron. The 400 tiny holes for steam in the soleplate does do a very good job. It is a light iron and easy to use and control. Most ergonomic iron I have ...

Pros: price, steam, water sprayer, size and weight
Cons: none that I know of
Review: I have used Rowenta irons for many years and I couldn't be happier with this brand. I have never had problems with it. When I have replaced my irons it has been because I want a bigger one or a newer one, with new features, but never due to malfunction. ...

Pros: adequate weight, doesn't feel flimsy; shows you when it's heating, when it's ready; water capacity
Cons: not teflon; dial poorly positioned; no off switch
Review: I needed a new iron since I was sending my old one to the country house, and sprang for a Rowenta Focus DZ5080. I'd been using a fairly basic teflon-coated Black & Decker 380, which had been just fine. I chose it because it seemed like a premium product, ...

Pros: Nice weight, long cord, great steam
Cons: no off button, need to unplug. Dial too easily moved while ironing-bad placement.
Review: I purchased the Focus from Kohl's for $73.99. I was used to the Euro Pro Steam Generator, but alas, it gave up after 6yrs. I do like the Focus. It steams really well, I have steamed my suit jackets. I would highly recommend it to someone who wants a ...

Pros: Tons of steam holes
Cons: For the price, didn't last very long. Have to unplug to shut it off
Review: Purchased the dz5080 November 2006. Worked great for a few months, then started spitting out white substances even though we were using spring water as recommended. Constantly would leak out water while ironing. This month is was ...

Pros:
...lots of steam holes? Cons: Expensive, short life, very drippy
Review: I purchased this iron July 7th; August 20th I returned it to Bed, Bath and Beyond because it was leaking out of the bottom holes. Now, October 1st, the new iron is doing the same thing. This iron is going back to Bed Bath and Beyond and I'm getting a ...

Pros: The short time it worked, it did a good job. Not much else pro.
Cons: The Iron is over priced, and of poor quality and reliability.
Review: I purchased the Rowenta DZ5080 at Kohl's Store for my wife. She wanted a good quality Iron that would last. After a few months the Iron leaked water from the base.Rowenta made us sent it to a service center. After 2 months and numerous phone calls we ...
