Pros: Comfortable seats, versatile interior, good looks, LOTS of power, great on gas.
Cons: Quirky switches for lights and wipers take some getting used to.
The Bottom Line: If you want a comfortable, reliable, powerful car that is versatile and good on gas, this is a great car, especially if you like something that everybody else isn't driving.
Review: I have driven my 9-3 for over 55,000 miles in the 18 months I've owned it and the car still amazes me.
COMFORT - I'm 6'5" with a muscular build and still have 3" above my head with the sunroof closed - something I couldn't find in any other... |

Pros: Handling, interior, Fun to Drive
Cons: No driver's side armrest, rear seat room
The Bottom Line: A fun ride that is certainly competitive with other cars in its class. At the very least, take it for a test drive and see what you think.
Review: I recently leased a 2001 Saab 9-3 SE 4 door sedan (By way of background, Saab has two model lines, the 9-3 and the 9-5. The 9-3 is available in the S series as well as the SE series, with the SE being the more luxurious of the two (though when I...

Pros: Great convertible, great snow car, fun to drive, safe, good mileage.
Cons: In a nutshell, not a BMW. Cowl shake.
The Bottom Line: Great car for me, but not for everyone. And that's part of the appeal.
Review: A lot of what I would say has already been said, but I know that in trying to justify purchases of my own, I like to read what others have to say - almost thirsting for someone else's opinion to justify my opinion or scare me away. This is perhaps ...

Go Buy This Car

Pros: Thanks to Daddy GM, insane dealer incentives knock $7k off MSRP.
Cons: It's a Saab, that means 4-banger, torque-steer, and that weird ignition in the floor.
The Bottom Line: Use your brain and not your loins and at least test drive one of these things. You could be amazed.
Review: OK, a solid year looking to buy a reasonably priced, near luxury sports sedan/wagon. EVERYTHING test driven, some good even great handling cars. But nothing that said gotta have it, especially pushing a sticker of $40K in some cases.

Pros: Styling, quality, driving experience, high tech goodies
Cons: None so far!
The Bottom Line: Styling, quality, driving experience, high tech goodies. Dealer experience and continues to be exceptional.
Review: I found myself cruising VW dealers for a replacement vehicle after my Golf ticked over 250,000km. The A/C was shot and summer was approaching, and I could feel the clutch beginning to slip, and the exhaust was making a racket...and a bunch of other...

Pros: stylish, a kick to drive!
Cons: telescoping antenna breaks in car wash - oops!
The Bottom Line: Great car, good price, fun to drive!
Review: We bought this car for my husband to commute in, but it's become my favorite car to drive. It handles well on winding mountain roads and city streets. The sport mode makes lane changes in San Francisco a breeze.
The trunk is ENORMOUS. I fit... |

Pros: value, fuel economy, fun to drive, style, hatchback versatility
Cons: no drivers arm rest, shift up light
The Bottom Line: I recommend this car 100%. If you need a dependable car with a huge trunk/hatch look no further. FUN. RELIABLE. SPORTY. PERSONALITY. FAST
Review: I have owned my Laser Red SAAB 9-3 SE now for one year and 15,000. This car is as solid and fun to drive as the day I bought it. I was in the market for a new car and test drove everything under the sun. No other car gave as much performance an...

Pros: Looks great, luxurious interior, neat gizmos
Cons: Cowl shake, eats fuel
The Bottom Line: This car is not for everyone, but makes a great choice for an everyday" ride with a converitble top.
Review: I was lucky enough to recieve a hefty chunk of change as a signing bonus from my new job, and decided to treat myself to something I've always wanted- a convertible. I didn't want just any car with the top lopped off, however; I wanted something that...

Pros: Gas mileage (I average about 24.9 miles--inner city, and about 28.7 on the highway)
Cons: There is some torque steer.
Would like more center console space.
The Bottom Line: A great car, but if you don't want to spend over 45K for a new model, consider certified pre-owned (low miles, original and extended warranty for a great price!)
Review: Coming from a family where my parents owned Triumphs, VW Karmen ghias, volvos, peugeots, and saabs (cars that are kinda out of the ordinary)...I felt right at home purchasing my 02 Saab 9-3 convertible. I always thought of myself as Benz person, but ...

Pros: It's a Saab, what more do you need?
Cons: Bit stiff and eats a lot of fuel
The Bottom Line: Need a car that gets through thick and thin???
Do yourself a favour and by a Saab!
Review: I have always liked to drive a Saab and believe me I have tried numerous of cars but always returned back to this Scandinavian brand.
I have to say I haven't had the chance to try it when it's summer but my main goal was indeed to get a good winter... |
