Pros: covers a wide variety of science fields, articles have friendly non-academic tone, published weekly

Cons: news items concentrate on medical research, very little content for your money, very shallow articles

The Bottom Line: If a particular issue catches your fancy, leaf through it. I wouldn't pay for a subscription.
