Pros: Suspense at its best. Flynn is captain of the genre.
Cons: Seems dated reading it now, but it was written before 911.
The Bottom Line: Go back before 9-11 when Iraq seemed a nuclear threat. Flynn takes Mitch Rapp on a mission impossible adventure that will make or break the United States.
Review: Through time, I have become a Flynn fan. His writing is suspenseful and edgy. But I always find it interesting to go back to a writer’s earlier works and compare it to their present works to see how they have grown as a writer. Reading Separation ...

Ripped from the Headlines

Pros: The characters are fully drawn and life-like.
Cons: The conclusion came too suddenly and too easily.
The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend Separation of Power or any Vince Flynn novel because it is entertaining and leaves you wondering what does our government know.
