I Shure love Shure's E3c Earphones

by   MattBjorke ,  Jan 19, 2007
Pros: Beautiful sound output. Comfortable. Awesome storage case.
Cons: Price.
The Bottom Line: Shure's E3c earphones are by far the best earphones I've ever used and after a short adjustment time, I think I'm in love. They suit my audiophile needs just perfectly.
Review: Introduction: Being an audiophile has many pluses along with a few minuses. Among the plusss is knowing your way around any music store and the innate ability to pick out good, unknown music. Another plus is having lots of music to listen to. ...

Shure E3C: Canalphones

by   vtw3 ,  Jul 26, 2005
Pros: Bass, Mids, Design, Warranty, Durability, Foam sleeves
Cons: Treble is a little exaggerated, but still good, hard flex sleeves are uncomfortable,
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for canalphones in this price range, go for the Shures
Review: Well I'm sitting here listening to my 30gb iPod after I found the Shure e3c's I ordered right next to the front door. I immediately opened them and put them into my ears. It didn't fit and I forgot that I needed to find the right fit, too anxious. ...

Great sound and noise cancellation

by   kwbarrett ,  Sep 6, 2005
Pros: Very compact size, great sound, very comfortable, good bass.
Cons: Triple-flange sleeves should be included.
The Bottom Line: Definitely recommended for those who want superior sound quality, noise isolation, and comfort at an affordable price.
Review: I originally purchased the E2C as a replacement to my Sony EX51. While the sound was noticeably better, after 2 weeks, I just couldn't find an acceptable level of comfort with them. I also wasn't able to find a set of sleeves that would stay put for ...

Where have these been all my life?

by   pward ,  Oct 8, 2006
Pros: High-end pro quality with great accessories.
Cons: A little pricey for some!
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend these headphones because of their quality sound and construction coupled with the fact that they actually stay in your ears while providing all that excellent sound!
Review: My dilemna I've always struggled with cheaply made headsets (from the ones included with my iPod to several others I've bought in my search for the best mix of comfort and performance). When jogging or walking, the iPod standard buds don't ...

Very Good Takes a bit to get used to.

by   windsurfed ,  Jan 6, 2006
Pros: Crystal clear sound. Love how the wrap around your ear to stay in place
Cons: Take quite a while to (for me) to get it right!
The Bottom Line: I would definitely recommend these because of the high quality of crisp sharp sounds and the way they wrap around the ear because they stay in place.
Review: My cousin had a pair and told me the price and I couldn't believe it. (quite expensive) I had to get a pair. He had the E5 So I just read the reviews and bought me E3's. I have an Iriver IHP-120 20 gig Jukebox. The earphones that came with it I ...

Great quality, with no white noise from noise canceling

by   wh00dini ,  Jul 23, 2005
Pros: Great response for price. light weight and they don't have a trendy white cord
Cons: they don't have a white cord
Review: I recently purchased the E3c to replace my bulky Sony MDR NC11s. I am a bit of a audiophile and can't stand to listen to poor quality. I have to say that these headphones are wonderful. I don't have to crank the volume on my iPod (Apple Lossless ...

Great Sounding "In Ear" earphones.

by   danceeagle ,  Dec 29, 2006
Pros: Great Sound. Good isolation. Well made. Terrific 2 year Warranty.
Cons: In ear type phones mean you can't easily hear outside sounds. Dangerous driving cars, etc.
Review: I've used these "in ear" earphones for for almost 2 years. As with any earphones of this type a lot depends on the fit inside your ear for comfort. They come with a nice assortment of various "buds" and I imagine they would fit almost anyone. ...

These are worth the money - you won't believe the difference

by   hessiot ,  Feb 24, 2006
Pros: Impressive soundstage, great noise isolation and pretty comfortable
Cons: Takes A LOT of initial experimentation to set them up properly
Review: I wasn't sure about these at first because I had serious difficulty getting them to seal in the ear canal. They sounded uncomfortably brite and there was absolutely no bass. But then I sat down and tried all of the different buds, different wearing ...

Good? Yes. $200 good? Hmm...

by   underdawg ,  Jul 3, 2007
Pros: sound isolating is great, sound is great
Cons: sound quality not much better than $70 headphones I've had before
The Bottom Line: solid but expensive
Review: I think I can accurately put myself in the category in between an audiophile and an average iPod-earbud wearing dude. I guess you could say I'm in the willing-to-spend-$40-$80-on-he adphones category. But I've always wanted to try some really expensive...

Sound Tight and Fit TIght

by   green-z ,  Sep 14, 2005
Pros: Sound Great!
Cons: Odd fitting and pricey
The Bottom Line: The E3Cs sound great but the fit is awkward. Look no further for sub $175 headphones but buy from a place that takes returns should you not like the fit.
Review: Never a fan of traditional earbuds, both on the issue of sound and comfort, the first thing I did when I bought my original iPod was search out a comfortable, but decent sounding pair of headphones. After much trial and error I decided on the Sony EX51LP ...
