What a LEMON!

This is probably the worst investment I ever made. I bought this on ebay for $35 (brand new) since it looked like a good deal. The camera first worked great, plugged in, the driver installation required a restart, but seemed to work well. The camera served me well for the first 30 days, no problems, and decent pictures in daylight.

The camera also doubled as a webcam which is a nice add-on feature.

There are many problems in this camera. First, there is no way on earth that it has 16 MB of SDRAM, I give it a max of 2 or 4 MB. It barely takes a couple of seconds in video mode, takes only 30 pictures at mid-quality (150 KB per picture), so there is no way it is 16 MB. The other thing is battery, it consumes battery so fast! and guess what? NO RECHARGEABLE!! that is right, if you put a rechargeable battery it will void your warrantee (LOL, as if there is any).

Also, the camera goes crazy by itself, and that means you have to reset it every now and then, and yes, loose your pictures in the process. Also if the battery dies you will loose pictures, since it uses the battery power when it is shut off to retain the memory (digital cameras are supposed to keep the photos even when the power is disconnected, but not this one).

Yea and you have to reinstall the driver every couple of weeks since the camera mysteriously shows up as an "Unidentified USB device". And as if this is not enough, after 90 days it dies on you, you reset it, put new batteries, but it is all a waste.

The only good thing the camera gave me is a bit over 50 pictures which were decent (not really 1.3 MP but close). I don't recommend this camera at all. If you already have it, don't open it!! Return it or give it as a gift to that annoying person in your life.
