cheap and good

by   gzuo ,  Apr 8, 2006
Pros: good sound quality, auto on/off, auto tuning, comfortable
Cons: none
The Bottom Line: every house should have one.
Review: I bought my first set a couple of years ago. Since then I bought 2 more for friends and 2 more for myself. I always buy refurbished from ecost.com, from $35 to $40. Ecost seems to always have refurbished units on sale. Very strange. The first time ...

Great Value

by   scmyers ,  Aug 7, 2007
Pros: long battery life, great sound, comfortable to wear for extended periods of time, good range.
Cons: hiss and pop when the battery is low. Hard to position on charger.
Review: I have owned these headphones for about 2 years. I bought them refurbished to replace a set of $180 Sony headphones I dropped and broke. I picked these up refurbished for $36. They sound as good as the expensive ones and have lasted longer. I’m ...

Nice but range is pathetic

by   zuul24 ,  May 15, 2006
Pros: Battery life is exceptional. Sound quality is great (when there is no signal interference)
Cons: MUCH noise. Very specialized batteries.
Review: I must admit, I saved up my money to purchase these because of the brand name Sony and the fact that I have many Sony products that I have never had a problem with. They sound great... as long as you are 2 feet from the base. There is NO WAY they ...

Wireless and Useless

by   locksmiths ,  Jul 23, 2006
Pros: They don't work so I can't give any.
Cons: They don't work.
The Bottom Line: Don't go near these! I am disappointed with Sony who I thought did quality products.
Review: What are they? ============== I now live in an apartment and wanted to listen to TV late at night without annoying the neighbours. I thought this was the way to go. Wireless headphones run by 2 supplied nickel-metal hydride batteries (supplied). ...

Sony Wireless Headphones MDR-RF960RK

by   hgfire ,  Mar 10, 2006
Pros: On-off switch in the headband, lightweight, comfort fit
Cons: much too much noise, ticks, pops, dropouts, advertising deceptions, doesn't work as advertised
The Bottom Line: Product does not work as advertised
Review: Several friends of mine made a statement about six months ago stating from purchases they have made recently; that the quality and deceptive advertising employed by Sony has become a disgrace. At the time, I could not bring myself to accept this as ...

These headphones are junk!

by   bolbert ,  Jan 30, 2007
Pros: There are few pros to these headphones except that they are comfortable.
Cons: Difficult to position on contact pin for recharging, hiss, pop, etc.
The Bottom Line: There are better brands out there, consumers beware and do NOT purchase the Sony brand of wireless headphones as they are not worth the asking price.
Review: The Sony wireless headphones are not worth the $99 (plus tax) I spent on them. I bought these headphones for my husband because when I am grading my student's assignments I find it distracting to hear the TV blaring. Sadly, I chose the Sony brand due to “...

Stay away from these....

by   a90921341 ,  Jun 4, 2007
Pros: - Very comfortable
Cons: - Horrible reception - Charging base can be a pain - High price tag
Review: I bought these headphones after trying them on at the store and thinking they were very comfortable. Unfortunately though they were not hooked up to any sound source so that I could hear the quality. Not a big fan of Sony I still figured they couldn't ...

DO NOT BUY THESE HEADPHONES!

by   google12 ,  Dec 21, 2005
Pros: Nicely styled, they hug your head, and setup was quite easy.
Cons: Poor performance and lower range do not make up for money saved.
Review: Sony quality has gone way down in the Sony MDR-RF960RK Wireless Headphones. I had a Sony MDR-RF975R pair of wireless headphones that finally gave out because I used them so much. They were comfortable and the receptions was exceptional. Naturally, I ...

JUNK

by   zoox ,  Dec 31, 2008
Pros: Comfortable
Cons: Loud background hiss/static, hard to position on charger, volume hard to find/adjust while wearing
Review: This is a product that never should have been put on the market. Sony can certainly do a better job than this. I bought these to replace an old infra-red set of wireless headphones. As it turns out, the old headphones work much better than these. These ...
