by   pageclot ,  Dec 9, 2000
Pros: small size, superb pictures, portable format
Cons: high price, possibility of Sony making the memstick proprietary
The Bottom Line: Buy it if you're in love with the camera, but be prepared to buy another memory stick.
Review: We were loaned a DSC-S50 while our DSC-F55 is in the shop (see my review of the DSC-F55), so I have an ideal opportunity to compare the two cameras. If I was buying a digital camera now, the DSC-S50 would be right in my price range, so I would probably...

by   fkozlof ,  Nov 17, 2000
Pros: compact, great LCD, reasonably priced, easy to use menus
Cons: no optical viewfinder, and NO LCD is very great in the sun
Review: Great little camera.
I used to use a Nikon SLR system, so like to do 'interesting' things, in addition to the routine point and shoot pictures of the family.
It's compact, makes great pictures, is easy to use, and has a few 'must have features'...
