Pros: .
Cons: .
The Bottom Line: .
Review: This is a review of Neil Gaiman's Stardust without illustrations. While I would someday like to page through the illustrated version, there is something in being able to conjure up images and faces yourself while reading that is lost when you have them ...

Pros: A classical fantasy tale told in a weird way, invitation for dreaming
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: A great fantasy tale which invites you to dream... And to fulfill your dreams.
Review: I admit it: I loved everything by Neil Gaiman I've ever read. So far, it's been Neverwhere, Good Omens (with Terry Pratchett) and American Gods. And now, Stardust.
I like Gaiman's dark sense of humor, elegant... |

Pros: reader-friendly story · engaging characters · Gaimanfluent storytelling charms · Vessfluid illustrations enchant
Cons: some situations needed more development · storytelling falters occasionally in the straight fairy tale mode
The Bottom Line: Vintage illustrations by Charles Vess complement Neil Gaimans wondrous words in the danger-and-delight-filled adventure of misguided love in Stardust. Recommended to romantics both true and twisted.
Review:

Pros: Glorious story, a true masterpiece, a great fairy-tale for adults!
Cons: None, really.
The Bottom Line: A glorious, well-written fairy-tale for the child inside all of us.
Review: I love fairy-tales. I really do. I love princesses and magic and dragons and fairies and dragons and all of those absolutely wonderful things that you're expected to grow out of by the time you're at least nine or ten. And I tried - but I discovered...

Pros: Expertly written, great fairy tale setting
Cons: Fairly short book
The Bottom Line: If you have not read any Neil Gaiman, you should start with this or Smoke and Mirrors.
Review: Last summer, I discovered Neil Gaiman while watching TechTV. He was there to promote American Gods and he seemed like such an interesting person that I decided to look into his work. Long story short, I have almost all of his novels, with Stardust...

Pros: Fast read, enjoyable in every way, made me smile!
Cons: Over all too soon.
Review: Before reading Stardust, I was only familiar with Neil Gaiman for two things: The Sandman series from my comic book days, and, more recently, as the guy who penned the English dialog for the American release of the Japanese animated masterpiece...

Pros: Captivating and inspired, a must read!
Cons: Isn't always what one would call intellectually stimulating...
Review: Sometimes a novel is classified as "good" or "great" due to factors such as amazing descriptions, a wonderfully wide vocabulary, etc. Rarely do these novels ever actually give anything to those who read them, except perhaps a few...

Pros: Happy ending that isn't banal.
Cons: Three, count 'em three, cuss words.
Review: One of the things that I find really depressing about being an adult, is the number of fiction books that are about sex, violence, evil, or a combination of the above. Sometimes, I want to read something that is not "adult" in nature, but...

Pros: A wonderful fairy tale fit for young and old alike!
Cons: None.
The Bottom Line: This is one of my favorite Gaiman works!
Review: This is, I think, my favorite of all of Neil Gaiman's work! He produces of one the greatest fairy tales I've read in a long time. This book was very easy to read, and I think anyone - young or old - would really enjoy this book.
