Old School Street Fighting is still fun!

by   fed_offense ,  Jun 15, 2000
Pros: Restored Classic Street Fighter 2, SF2:Champion Edition, and SF2:Hyper Fighting and all the extras
Cons: i don't see any
Review: Remember the days back in the early 90's when you always wanted to go to the arcades wanting to play Street Fighter 2,Champion Edition or Hyper Fighting but couldn't because you had no quarters to play it? Well Street Fighter fans rejoice! Capcom has...

A collection of greats

by   K.I.Simpson ,  Jul 29, 2000
Pros: 2 great fighters
Cons: you'll never play the other game included
Review: This game is a collection of two great fighting games. Yes, I know there are three included, but Super Street Fighter II Turbo is superior or equal in every way to Super Street Fighter II so there is no reason to play it. In the 9 months I've owned this...

Three amazing fighting games in only two discs, one answer...

by   NMD85 ,  Aug 31, 2001
Pros: Three of the latest Street Fighter games in near-perfect arcade transition
Cons: Horribly slow load times between every scene, unbalanced AI issues
The Bottom Line: While not adding anything "new" to Street Fighter, not owning these classics means you're missing out on a piece of true gaming legacy.
Review: If you've ever owned a Panasonic REAL 3DO (or a Goldstar brand), you probably have played the system's only flagship title by Capcom, Super Street Fighter II Turbo. A near perect arcade port of Capcom's 3DO-bound final arcade update to the Street Fighter...

Shoryuken! Classic Street Fighter action returns

by   kristina_kim ,  Apr 14, 2001
Pros: 3 games in one, both classic and contemporary Street Fighter gameplay, good arcade translation
Cons: Load times, control
The Bottom Line: A good compilation of games, worth owning
Review: Street Fighter Collection 1 compiles the 2 games in the "Super" Street Fighter 2 series, Super Street Fighter 2, and Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. It also has a bonus CD that has a slightly upgraded version of Street Fighter Alpha 2, called SFA2 Gold....

This is where it all began!

by   offspringer ,  May 17, 2000
Pros: Three games on one disc; arcade-perfect translations
Cons: Frequent loading; dated graphics may not appeal to some
Review: The Street Fighter series has a long lineage, but none were bigger than Street Fighter II upon its arcade release back in the early 90s. Capcom lets us relive that release and combines it with its two upgrades, Street Fighter II Championship Edition and...

A Little History For The New Schoolers

by   linear_north ,  Feb 23, 2000
Pros: Finally, SSFII Turbo!
Cons: really didn't need SSFII w/ SSFII Turbo
Review: Capcom knew exactly what game players wanted with the release of Street Fighter Collection. This set includes: Super Street Fighter II, Super Street Fighter II Turbo and Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold. How's that for bringing in the old with the new! I'm...

A Generation of Classics

by   NMD85 ,  Apr 4, 2002
Pros: Artwork galleries, game information, and biographies on each game
Cons: Very indistinct from each other, unchangeable speeds, tainted difficulty, horrible load times
The Bottom Line: This would of been a flawless tribute to timeless classics except for the minor problems that plague it, this is for die-hard fans only
Review: Ever since the good old days (which is about 1992), I've always remembered how much I've loved playing Street Fighter on the Super NES. Through out the years, I've been able to play the game in the arcades, when it was getting old of course. I have vivid...
