Pros: Informative, keeps me somewhat up to date on world events
Cons: It can be pretty boring sometimes!!
The Bottom Line: If you are interested in reading news magazines, Time is a well written one worth trying.
Review: I first began my subscription to Time in 1988, at the age of 16. I know, what on earth would a 16 year old want with this magazine?? I actually read it cover to cover then. No, it wasn't part of a class project, it truly interested me.

Pros: Great journalism from a slightly left perspective. Wide coverage, interesting ads.
Cons: Interesting ads, but there sure are a lot of them.
The Bottom Line: An American institution, TIME marches to the beat of the left by presents thought-provoking information.
Review: Originally posted May 27, 2001, explaining why there are dated references. Few magazines in the American tradition of newsprint hold lasting prestige and respect. There is Newsweek, US News and World Report, and then there is ...

Pros: A great magazine for the entire family
Cons: Can drag things on a bit
The Bottom Line: If you want to know what is going on without the commercials, buy TIME
Review: Elvis Dead! That is one of my least favorite editions, yet I still have it wrap in plastic and tucked safely away for other generations to read. I also have every major edition that has come out since then, and will keep collecting them until there is...

Pros: Something for everyone including primarily the in depth news articles
Cons: Weekly issues bring up the cost.
The Bottom Line: An informed person is necessary in a democracy. Time Magazine is one way to keep informed.
Review: Time Magazine has been in our house as long as I can remember, and that is longer than I care to admit. We are news junkies. We watch the news as often as it is on tv. We read two newspapers per day. We listen to the news at breakfast and dinner. So...

Pros: portable news, current events, interesting articles
Cons: none
The Bottom Line: Time offers current events and beautiful photography.
Review: I know you have heard of reading circles. I belong to a family of reading circles. We do not read online material, instead we read magazines. When one person is finished with her magazines, she passes them on to another family member-until everyone has...

Pros: Written for the common man to understand
Cons: Time for kids is a waste when there is nobody to read it
The Bottom Line: Great for readers who want to see a couple more rocks turned over than what CNN or Fox News are willing to do.
Review: TIME Magazine
Note Book: This section has a lot of quotes and lighter issues on the news over the week. This is interesting to look at. You will also get some political opinion mixed in here ended by letters from people responding to the... |

Pros: cover to cover
Cons: can't think of any
Review: I started reading this magazine because my husband subscribes to it, as an avid newspaper/tabloid hater I was unexpectedly surprised.
I haven't really had to much experience of newspapers/ magazines here, but in the UK they are often... |

Pros: Joel Stein, great photos, keeps me up to date.
Cons: Overexposure of certain issues.
The Bottom Line: For the person on the go, to keep up to date on a wide variety of topics, TIME is a great addition to the magazine rack.
Review: I think Newsmagazines have a reputation of playing to the lowest common denominator - or are dumbed down. I have subscribed to Time magazine for about three years now, and really I find it an extraordinary tool to keep me up to date and give me a little...

Pros: Informative, funny, offers a magazine for kids, educational
Cons: Pricey, but understandably so
The Bottom Line: Purchase TIME for anything that you want in news journalism. Do not fear it! Read it!
Review: Yes, I do not have a lot of money. Like you haven't heard this one before. And yet, I still manage to scrape together the $50 I pay annually for my TIME magazine subscription. Why? Simply put, I find more value for my money in a magazine than in the...
