TV Guide Magazine: They Say Bigger Is Better!

by   Birdfeather ,  Feb 20, 2006
Pros: New and easy to read format, low advertisements, good feature articles.
Cons: No extensive local viewing included.
The Bottom Line: TV Guide Magazine: It's TV Made Easy!
Review: As long as I can remember, TV Guide Magazine has been a regular part of the household. The kids fight over it, and hubby is always looking for it. Of course, it is never where it is supposed to be! Last year, TV Guide Magazine took ...

I love my TV Guide

by   jeanniekerns ,  Nov 17, 2000
Pros: Everything
Cons: Needs more crosswords
Review: I have nothing bad to say about my TV Guide.. With 543 channels, it is a big help when I need to find something on regular cable. Besides having all the listing from Sunday to Sunday, here is what else it has.

TV Guide The Gift That Lives On

by   ingridjen ,  Jan 29, 2000
Pros: Good articles plus guide to good television
Cons: Buying from the news stand can be expensive
Review: During my father's lifetime, my sister and I could always depend upon getting TV Guide as our Christmas present from our father. A little over a year after his death, my subscription expired and for the first time in years my household was without our...

Essential Magazine!!!

by   davidp24 ,  Jul 12, 2006
Pros: Colorful magazine, very informative, gives good recommendations, easy to find in all supermarkets
Cons: It can't cover everything, like daytime talk show guests, in advance
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this magazine for all the great information it supplies on TV shows, movies, cable programming, sports, etc.
Review: I love the new format and size of the TV Guide, even if it is more like a magazine now. I always buy it at the supermarket when it first goes on sale so I can pinpoint and mark the shows that I want to watch and tape record for the week. The programs ...

My Date Book... how sad is that

by   chelle-wheels ,  Jan 31, 2000
Pros: Everything
Cons: None
Review: OK, how sad is my life when I resort to the TV Guide as my date book. As soon as it comes in the mail, I grab my highlight marker and highlight everything that I want to see for the week. By doing this I don't miss anything that I really want to see. I...

Pros: Tells you what's on TV
Cons: A bit on the expensive side.

A favorite around the house.

by   pacerr ,  Jan 26, 2000
Pros: has more than the times of tv shows and movies.
Cons: none yet.
Review: My family subscribes to TV Guide. It is one of my mom's favorite magazines, if you want to call it a magazine. She gets upset if the mail lady does not bring it on Monday. It's really cute.

Not only does the TV Guide give the times of shows...

I buy it for the articles

by   mikewhite ,  May 11, 2000
Pros: articles about t.v. stars' personal lives
Cons: none
Review: I never buy TV Guide for the television listings. It isn't that the magazine doesn't do a good job. The coverage is better and more detailed than in my local paper, but the local newspaper provides good enough coverage for my taste.
No, when I...

The first time I bought a TV Guide (this week) - Backstreet's on the cover

by   itztru ,  May 24, 2001
Pros: Each Boy gets their own cover, long article and pull-out pic
Cons: Kevin's cover was all sold out before I could buy it
The Bottom Line: You know if BSB are on the cover, I'm getting it!
Review: Well, what can I say, this is probably going to be the week that TV Guide sells the most magazines. Why? Well, the only way any magazine can have high circulation can only be due to the Backstreet Boys! Rolling Stone was bought more when the Boys were...
