Pros: Lightweight, Cheap, Easy to use.
Cons: None :)
The Bottom Line: I have to say, for the money, this lens is an EXCELLENT purchase for those looking to upgrade! The weight, the ease of use, the results are great!
Review: About 3 years ago I was given a Canon Rebel 2000 as a Christmas present. At the time, I suggested a "kit" I knew nothing about the camera or lens that came with it (Tamron 28-80mm). As time went on, and I learned more about the camera and photography,...

Pros: Great price, great quality pictures, light weight
Cons: None!
The Bottom Line: Great price, great pics, lightweight lens takes great shots!
Review: I purchased this lens along with a Tamron 28-105mm lens on advice from several other Tamron lens owners. I had originally priced Nikkor lenses, but the comparable Nikkor was $269.99, and way over budget for me. Also, come to find out, Tamron manufactures...

Pros: Well made, adaptable to many SLR camera mounts, good macro function
Cons: None that I've found
Review: There have been a lot of mid-level zoom-telephoto lenses out
there, and optically I think this is one of the better ones. It's well made, with a solid feel, and I must especially salute the macro function; I've obtained some wonderfully... |

Pros: Great price, clear crisp pictures.
Cons: None so far.
The Bottom Line: For the price you really can't beat this lens other than maybe Sigma's 70-300mm. Do not hesitate to purchase this lens if you are a beginner like me.
Review: I bought this lens new for my Canon Rebel 2000 off of ebay for $119. I have shot 3 rolls of film (the first two did not turn out that great but user error was to blame)and I got great results with this lens along with my other lens, a sigma 28-80mm...

Pros: excellent value and quality
Cons: none noted
The Bottom Line: Great combination of focal length, macro capability and quality/price. A value in this category.
Review: Having recently purchased a new Canon EOS Elan 7e, with the standard 38-90 Canon USM lens, I wanted more. I had sold off my older Canon gear, which included 4 lenses and a 2X Tamron teleConverter, as well as an excellent Tamron short zoom lens.

Pros: easy to use, has macro/normal setting so you don't have to switch lenses constantly.
Cons: none noted yet
Review: I'm a novice to photography, but I'm learning more each day. This lens was a gift to me and from the second I attached it to my camera, I've been in love with it. I can take super close-ups, I can finally take botanical pictures without blur. I'm have ...

Pros: Light weight, sharp images, MACRO function
Cons: Can give you a little fuss taking low light pictures.
The Bottom Line: All in all if you are on a limited photography budget and looking for a tele-photo zoom lens, especially with MACRO function, this is a great one to choose.
Review: I have a fairly serious photography hobby and if you're into photography you know it can add up quickly. I decided to extend my photography with a tele-photo lens and there were a number of lens' for me to choose from. My camera body is a Canon EOS ...

Pros: a good entry level lens, great performance for the cost
Cons: auto-focus dial feels a little loose and gets worse with wear, very noisy lens
The Bottom Line: Excellent lens for the beginning and intermediate photographer and for a great price. AF motor is, however, noisy.
Review: introduction:
I purchased the Tamrom 70-300/4-5.6 lens many months after the initial purchase of my Canon D30 and Canon 28-105/3.5-4.5 USM lens. With the Tamron, I also purchased a film Canon Elan 7E body so that I could shoot some film... |

Pros: The disengaging autofocus motor in the Canon. clean bright optics
Cons: A loud autofocus. Slower to focus than Canon Ultrasonic lenses.
The Bottom Line: Get this lens for the Canon. I advised my Father to get one. what more do you want as an endorsement
Review: Coming from an F1 to the eos line I have found this lens is modest in weight. The metal shoe is a nice touch, that leads to a smooth coupling on the elan. my camera came with a piece of s___ lens, this was my replacement and I have loved the attention ...

Pros: Great Lens, Nice High Speed Photo Quality, Great Length of View
Cons: Hard to Use For The Casual User, Hard To Get The RIght Light
Review: This is an incredible lens. It has a focus length up to 300 meters. It is incredible how far this thing goes. The distance of this lens so long and precise that sometimes I feel like I could use it for a sniping scope. This is not for the avereage...
