Pros: solar, hip, large keys, advanced functions
Cons: no graphing capabilities, doesn't play music
Review: </b>Yes, I admit it! I own a Texas Instrument TI-36X Solar Calculator. This scientific calculator has probably helped many students pass their algebra, trigonometry, and chemistry classes. However, I am not a student in any of these courses....

Pros: lots of powerful and convenience functions for algebra and basic science classes
Cons: will not meet the needs of a strong math student all through high school
Review: I bought this calculator several years ago while I was in middle school. I needed to get a scientific calculator for an 8th-grade algebra class and the teacher recommended two calculators, this TI model and a Casio. I was able to get this one for a...

Pros: very compact, lots of features
Cons: it does require light to be used, because it is a solar
Review: The TI 36 is by far my favorite scientific calculator. It's quite compact and easy to carry around, and yet has all the functions you could need on a scientific calculator.
It has the addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division... |

Pros: Cheap, cool features
Cons: They can't help a lost cause.
Review: I bought the TI 36X before taking AP Chemistry in my Senior year of high School. I needed it for calculating these amazingly complex problems that I will, with any luck, never have to use again (I am an art major).
The calculator had all of... |

Pros: Easy to use, nice layout, many options.
Cons: solar powered can cause slow calculations.
The Bottom Line: If your in algebra and planning on advancing the TI-36 is one of the better investment choices.
Review: Way back when I was in eighth grade I won a free calculator in my science class. It was the earlier version of the
TI-36X. When I lost that calculator I looked for the same one again and what I found was a spunky new version. The TI-36X... |

Pros: Great calc, sets the standard
Cons: None really
Review: The TI-36 and the virtually identical TI-35 set the standard when it comes to scientific calculators. In my middle school, almost everyone used a 35 or 36 because it was pretty much the best scientific calculator you can buy in terms of functionality...

Pros: Many different functions
Cons: Hard to perform some functions

Pros: Many function, solar powered, conversions and constants
Cons: Easy erasable memory
The Bottom Line: If you need a powerful scientific calculator then this is one of the best, although if you prefer an easier style to use then buy a CASIO.
Review: I own quite a few calculators, at least 11. I bought the TI-36X solar because it looked like the best scientific calculator at Radio Shack, and it looked pretty functional.
This TI (Texas Instruments) calculator has all the basic functions... |
