Pros: stunning, superb production; near-perfect cast, great effects, lovely score, and above all emotion
Cons: took a little time to get rolling; the female roles were miscast
The Bottom Line: The one movie of the year that you should see. It more than exceeds expectations I loved it!
Review: I got up out of my seat dizzy. I walked out of the building feeling like I was floating on air. I felt like I had experienced somethingÂ…holy. Are we talking about a movie here? Yes indeed! We are talking about the much-anticipated, ...

An Epic Adventure Begins in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring |
|||
|
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
The Bottom Line: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring was a wonderful beginning to an epic adventure. The Extended Version DVD is worth watching at least once.
Review: I had heard about The Lord of the Rings at different times, but I never really knew what it was about. Then I started to see previews for the movie version of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. I saw the movie in ...

Pros: when a movies this good, it goes beyond pros...
Cons: ...or cons for that matter (although there are a couple)
The Bottom Line: I wasnt sure if Id be saying this, but Fellowship of the Ring is just as spectacular, in its own way, on video as it was on the big screen.
Review: What movie less than an epic would make you wait half a year for it to come out on video? I and most of the civilized world have been waiting breathlessly for the most awe-inspiring movie in years to appear in stores, counting the days till August 6th...

LOTR: The Fellowship of the Ring: Folks, there's an Epic up there... |
|||
|
Pros: Incredible production values. Actors who look and sound the part.
Cons: A few continuity errors, but other than that...
The Bottom Line: Incredible adaptation of a difficult, involved book. Go see it for the spectacle, and the range of emotions that it conjures. I haven't had this much fun in years.
Review: I approached this film with a great deal of trepidation and dread in my heart. After all, I had read the trilogy about thirty years ago, had devoured The Silmarillion when it finally was in print, and had cried FOUL when that animation version was...

Welcome To The Movies! The Fellowship of the Ring |
|||
|
Pros: I dare not give such a small list as will fit here.
Cons: It isn't perfect.
The Bottom Line: Someone took a book and made a movie out of it. What more could you want?
Review:
Warning! This may turn out to be one of the longest reviews I have ever written. If you only read one review of this movie read something else, this is too long. I feel that a certain amount of personal commentary is... |

Pros: My faith is restored in fantasy movies as I know it can be properly done
Cons: I only saw it twice
The Bottom Line: If you can't appreciate this fine masterpiece for what it is and has accomplished, you better check your pulse again to see if you are alive.
Review: Did you really think I was going to let a little thing called sleep get in my way of watching this movie? If you even have to think about it, then you have more of a brain than I do because I surely wasn't using mine at the time. Then again, when it ...

|
Pros: great casting, wonderful action, excellent plot, beautiful locations, great soundtrack
Cons: a somewhat unavoidable abrupt ending---otherwise perfection!
The Bottom Line: The perfect book to movie adaptation. Worth watching at least once.
Review: Fellowship of the Ring blew me away. After being hyped up for over a year both on the Internet and on TV spots, I was expecting maybe an over media-blitzed so-so flick, much the way Harry Potter disappointed me. Harry Potter was uninspired and...

Pros: the characters and actors (aside from Arwen); atmosphere
Cons: perhaps too long, dragging in parts; some confusion for people unfamiliar with story
The Bottom Line: If you know and love the book, my bet is you'll love this film. Otherwise, go with your gut instinct.
Review: At this point, I'm beginning to believe in curses--both the gypsy kind and the kind you mutter when annoying bozos refuse to keep to their theater seats during a film. You see, I suffer from the first kind, which makes me prone to the second.

Pros: Magical, enchanting, captivating!
Cons: none
The Bottom Line: Watch it but do not compare it with the book, I mean both the medium are different!
Review: I actually saw this movie a long time back, some time in March 2002. I liked it so much that I actually saw it twice in theatres with my husband. So I would not say that yes, but I will watch it on video!, as epinions suggest. I have actually seen it...

Pros: Peter Jackson's masterful adaptation, fine acting, great effects.
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: It's a masterpiece, pure and simple.
Review: The Fellowship of the Ring, New Zealander Peter Jackson's first installment of three films based on J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, is an entertaining and awe-inspiring movie. With a multi-national cast, majestic landscapes, jaw-dropping special ...
