Pros: good horsepower, sharp looking, good on gas.
Cons: would like an optional third row.
The Bottom Line: love it,awesome mom car.looks nice, rides nice .roomy, quite, and the kids love it.

Best Car for the Price

by   spamattackers ,  Oct 7, 2008
Pros: It's a great car.
Cons: none for this price
Review: I traded in my wife's '92 Corolla with 182,000 and still running like it had 20,000. But I wanted her to have a newer car with newer features like CD and airbags. We look around and picked the 2008 Corolla because of both the price and the gas ...

2008 Corolla - Have the petals wilted?

by   shoplmart , top reviewer in Cars & Motorsports at Epinions.com ,  Feb 2, 2008
Pros: Gas mileage, Smooth 5-speed manual, Smooth ride.
Cons: Engine is a bit noisy, Uninspiring handling, Price.
The Bottom Line: The 9th generation Corolla is still a great value, however cars like the Honda Civic and Mazda3 have an edge-up on this ageing sedan.
Review: I thought I'd take a 9th generation Corolla out for one last spin before its complete redesign: an all-new model is due to hit the streets this month. With the Corolla's successor just on the horizon and with most of its competition, i.e. the Honda Civic ...

It's a small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and reliable car

by   nehaj13 ,  Aug 16, 2008
Pros: Fuel economy and very low maintenance cost.
Cons: A cramped backseat is the major negative.Depreciation is always higher on this car.
Review: This is the quintessential economy car. It's not taller than the previous-generation Corolla, but it is a little wider.Changes in the ninth-generation Corolla are limited but possibly significant for used-car shoppers. It is a good choice from a ...

Remarkably Unremarkable but a good car nevertheless

by   ldu95240 ,  Dec 11, 2007
Pros: Economical, superb build quality, painless to own
Cons: Blandness, engine rough at high revs, cramped rear cabin, getting dated now
The Bottom Line: Buy it for its reliability and low running costs. But it is a dated design with little soul, as a family car it simply doesn't have the room.
Review: This version of the Corolla has just been ditched in Europe and Japan in favour of the much more sophisticated Auris, but it continues for 2008 in the US and Canada. This is a bit of a pity for the more progressive among us – although Ford pulled ...

Sturdy Commuter: The 2008 Toyota Corolla LE

by   syncing ,  Sep 5, 2008
Pros: Gas Mileage is above average, Design is nice, Braking, and the price is decent.
Cons:

No excitement, Its not a Camry or a Prius.

The Bottom Line: Its worth a look especially for its highway gas mileage of 35 mpg. Decent Buy.
Review: Heading for a road trip I piled a few friends into my rented off the showroom floor Corolla LE. Driving the car is pleasant as with most new cars. What was nicer than some was the responsive brakes, which is a must for a lively group of kids as well as ...

An underwhelming car

by   pdboilermaker ,  Jan 9, 2008
Pros: Good gas mileage
Cons: Loud, comfort, lack of true style
The Bottom Line: This would be a decent buy for a STARTER car
Review: Well, I drew the short straw at work this week and had to drive a Corolla on a business trip. I drove it for about 400 miles. Here is the result of my experience: 1. The interior - The interior looks nice, the colors, textures, and feel of all of ...

Honestly, couldn't recommend it

by   jkilop ,  Feb 26, 2008
Pros: Inexpensive, good sounding stereo, comfortable seats
Cons: Lower than expected fuel economy, questionable interior quality
Review: Although the corolla has enjoyed a good reputation, this one missed the mark. Not enough attention to interior detail. Some panels have visible rough edges and a "bolt cover" was missing from a kick panel. Engine is excessively noisy outside and ...
