Pros: Easy to set up, very user friendly
Cons: A little (sometimes A LOT) tricky to get into its charging base
The Bottom Line: Looking for an end to the confusion of three, four or five different remotes? Check out the Harmony 880 and let it do the thinking for you.
Review: If you watched the first season if The Osbournes on MTV, you may remember a scene where a pharmaceutically addled Ozzy struggled to use his TV using a remote control so bulky it needed to be handled with both hands. As someone who last year ...

Pros: Setup could not be easier, flexibility, a true universal remote
Cons: Price, no RF, button feel, somewhat awkward in size
The Bottom Line: Best universal remote available today
Review: My first foray into the universal remote control world was the Kameleon 8 in 1 universal remote. Pretty cool concept, but if you had a cable box DVR (in other words, an integrated tuner/PVR type solution), the Kameleon fell short. Don't get me wrong, the ...

Pros: Highly customizable, very convenient, re-chargable battery, reduce remote clutter, wife/kids can now do it
Cons: A bit pricey, set-up can be a challenge
The Bottom Line: If you have a lot of equipment and each has its own remote and you are tired of dealing with them, this is it! Makes it all easy.
Review: Price: I got my Harmony 880 at Best Buy in Feb. 2006 for $249 and it came with a $25 Main-in rebate. After researching on-line that was in-line with most retailers. I did not want to spend that much initially, but it is well worth the money to ...

Pros: Most user-friendly remote to date
Cons: May have issues with charging cradle
The Bottom Line: This remote bridges the gap between the very
expensive and the low-frills inexpensive remotes very nicely.
Review: Masculine power has never become more apparent in a household when it comes to the almighty remote. It's the one device that puts the man in charge of his domain. For every piece of electronic equipment we own, there is a remote to match. For that ...

Pros: Does everything I need, simple to use, rechargeable batteries.
Cons: Screen seems burnt in... Can't completely remove delay from buttons. Charger is a little fussy.
The Bottom Line: A great remote that is cake to use. Programming could be easier, but I've seen much worse.
Review: This is a great stateful remote with a color LCD screen for not too much money. It retails for $250, but I bought one for $180 - $50 rebate, and I've seen it as low as $70 through Dell after coupons and rebates. Because it is stateful it can ...

Pros: LCD Display, Remote help assistant, Rechargeable Remote that never will go out of date.
Cons: Set up of favorites time consuming, not enough separation between remote buttons,
The Bottom Line: I recommend this remote as once it is programmed parents, children and grandparents can use this will very little problem if any at all.
Review: I just received this remote as a gift for Christmas. My wife was having some difficulty with gift ideas this year, so at the last minute I suggested a couple of remotes I had been interested in from Logitech. The models I had an interest in were the ...

Pros: You can pay more for a remote. But this may still be the best.
Cons: You can pay less. And if you're satisfied with less, do so.
The Bottom Line: If you have a home theater system that requires multiple changes, this is the remote for you. It's great.
Review: There are a lot of universal remote controls on the market. You can buy one at Radio Shack for $20. So why spend $150 on the Logitech Harmony 880? Because everything works. Most universal remotes aren't really universal. They do the main things, ...

Pros: Great for replacing all your remotes, easy to use.
Cons: None to speak of.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this for anyone who wants an easy to use remote that does a lot.
Review: The 880 can control virtually any of your audio/video components (called devices). Setup is pretty simple. You install Logitechs software, which connects to the Internet and accesses Logitechs database once you set up an account. Before running ...
