Decent

by   duf82z24 ,  Jan 8, 2003
Pros: Wireless, volume control on headphones
Cons: lots of interferance, not terribly comfortable
The Bottom Line: Not bad for casual use. Doesn't deliver great sound or comfort while moving around the house.
Review: -Appearance
They look cool, transmitter is small and stays out of the way.

-Performance
If you just need some headphones to wear while reading or some other low motion activity they're fine. If you're looking to use them while...

I could have done better!

by   rozsa ,  Nov 17, 2001
Pros: Sleek, modern design, long-range. Light weight. Decent price.
Cons: Poor frequency of response, especially at the bass end. Not very good for music.
The Bottom Line: Buy it on the condition that if you don’t like it you will return it. Then listen to the other headphones of similar price.
Review: The Looks
Good looking, looks like anodized aluminum. This one is the ‘Titanium” color. There is a black one, too. Since you will be using it to get privacy, you won’t hear the people laughing at you, because with the headphones on you WILL look...

You might want to go with bluetooth or something that works better

by   jammin0 ,  Jun 15, 2008
Pros: just ok
Cons: poor quality, uncomfortable, newer technologies
The Bottom Line: If you are using it for something that allows it, get bluetooth
Review: Admittedly there are probably better technologies out there now for wireless headphones such as Bluetooth while some still might find these useful as they can hook up to any source that provides an 3.5mm audio out jack. I bought these headphones new off ...

Ouch!

by   markzilla ,  Mar 2, 2002
Pros: Decent bass response, better than my tiny TV speaker, works with many sources.
Cons: *very* uncomfortable, bass distorts.
The Bottom Line: Uncomfortable and pinching. Fairly good sound quality. Occasional interrupt by portable phones.
Review: I was looking for wireless headphone so my girlfriend could watch TV without disturbing me while I'm on the computer, or so I could watch TV without waking her.

I went on radioshack.com and found a pair for $20 ($50 with a 60% discount). When...

Not a diamond in the rough

by   ttheobal ,  Sep 5, 2004
Pros: Cheap, recharges your batteries for you, Beats IR headphones.
Cons: Drops signal, Signal Noise, They feel big and heavy
The Bottom Line: Shop around for alternatives. If there's another brand in this price range try them. If you're strapped for cash this may be the best bet for you.
Review: These headphones only set me back $25.00 but I think I'm gonna take 'em back. I should have read other reviews first. They look nice. A clean silver paintjob and a base that docks and recharges the batteries if you've installed rechargeables. The ...

Not too comfortable

by   backydboarding ,  Nov 5, 2003
Pros: Chargable Autotune Lots of status lights
Cons: Very uncomfortable. Range is bad Lots of interferrence
Review: Thought this was a good deal on Ebay. Transmitter is not very good. Seems to always be breaking up, but at least it has an autotune so you dont have to adjust any knobs. The headphones seem to be too tight; the headband part is too small and is too rig ...

RCA WHP160 - A heavy dud

by   michaelmoss ,  Feb 16, 2003
Pros: 900 mhz technology, allows wireless transmission to about 150ft from base.
Cons: Headset is heavy and drops audio signal from time to time.
The Bottom Line: My final recommendation is to try another product. The sound quality was average, but losing signal completely from time to time is absolutely unforgivable.
Review: I was hinting to my wife for several months that I would love to get a non-infrared wireless headset for the upcoming holidays. I was quite excited to open my new RCA WHP160 900 mhz wireless headset for Christmas.

To my surprise, the...

Should Have Been Recalled

by   nkfc88 ,  Nov 5, 2007
Pros: Satisfactory sound reproduction. Could clearly hear my TV while in other rooms of my house.
Cons: Flimsy headset arches with no arch replacement availability.
The Bottom Line: Unless you know where to get replacement headset arches for the WHP 160T avoid it unless you are positive that you will not lie down and fall asleep.
Review: I bought this product to watch TV without disturbing my wife while she slept. It served that purpose well. I often fell asleep watching TV and wearing the headset. One morning I awoke to find that both arches had broken. Replacement of the arches would ...

The BEST Example of Utterly Poor Design & Function

by   hummer1998 ,  Dec 26, 2004
Pros: Possibly a good AA Battery charger and a fair space heater.
Cons: See above.
Review: This "product" must have been tested by the China School for the Deaf and the physical design had to have been done by a blind person. (Without the use of a dog) The stand does not work at all. There is more hiss than actual meaningful sound output. ...

Double Ouch - and poor signal to boot

by   wojnicki ,  Mar 30, 2004
Pros: None.
Cons: Painful to wear, and just a BAD design
Review: I have the same syndrome as most, a night owl with a wife that has to get up early. So I bought some wireless headphones right solved. You can't wear these with glasses and they squash your ears, are extremely poorly designed are clunky and even the ...
