Look, Mom! TWO hands!

by   tracebooks ,  May 29, 2005
Pros: hands-free; healthy for baby; organic materials
Cons: learning curve can be tough; price ($70) can be hard
The Bottom Line: For those wanting hands-free but hands-on with their babies in warmer climates like the Midwest
Review: Where WAS this when I had my first two babies? A lot of the stress of parenting a newborn would have been gone had I had this wrap with my first two! Let me explain what a wrap is: it's a strip of fabric several yards long that you tie in one of ...

Wear Your Baby with an Ella Roo!

by   JenniferKS ,  May 14, 2004
Pros: Baby wearing benefits, excellent fabric, beautiful, functional, many holds to use, weight distributed evenly
Cons: Probably feel clumsy at first, a lot of fabric to deal with
The Bottom Line: The wrap is highly recommended. You may feel odd at first, but if you practice the tying, you'll be a pro! It gets easier and your baby will be comfortable
Review: What a beautiful wrap carrier! I am in just awe of my "sling". Not only beautiful, but so functional. I get comments whenever we wear it, people are just amazed :) If you go to ellaroo.com, the one I purchased is the Ysabel color. How does it ...

Expensive, but worth the investment!

by   leighroy26 ,  Aug 9, 2007
Pros: Light weight, dries easily, many ways to wear it, natural positioning for baby
Cons: Difficult to figure out at first
The Bottom Line: Once you figure out how to tie it, it becomes an essential!
Review: My husband and I researched a lot of wraps before buying ours. When it came we were more than confused with how to wear such a long, massive piece of cloth. However, after being shown how to use it one time, I've been able to master it on my own ever ...

Feeling the Wrap Love

by   mamafliz ,  Sep 28, 2005
Pros: Extremely comfortable, wear baby front, back or hip, stylish
Cons: Takes a bit of practice to learn the different wrapping positions, but it's worth it!
Review: I love this wrap! I've used slings, pouches, stretch wraps, mei tais and finally got around to trying out the Ellaroo Wrap. The woven fabric is strong with just a touch of give, not to mention soft and gorgeous. I wore my son, who weighs 28 lbs on my ...

Great for Nursing!

by   lalamcd ,  Apr 26, 2006
Pros: versatile, cool in warm climates, easy to fit in a diaper bag
Cons: longer learning curve, have to be careful about pressure points and tightness during the wrap
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this to anyone willing to spend time learning to wrap. It's versatile, can be used into toddlerhood, requires time learning the craft of wrapping (it's fun!)
Review: I have this wrap (in addition to about 6 other baby carriers) and I really like it. I bought it when my son was about 2 months and found the cradle hold really great for nursing. Now that he is 1 yr, it is still comfortable to wear with him on my back ...
