Pros: Worth the money for the time it saves, perfect rice every time!
Cons: A little gooey around the lid
Review: We became rice addicts while my husband was stationed in Hawaii for four years. Being from the "big island" -that's what Hawaiian's call the mainland United States- I thought rice was something like Minute Rice or maybe Uncle Ben's. In Hawaii...

Pros: Big, easy to clean
Cons: Performs better on large amounts of rice
The Bottom Line: This is a good, large, simple rice cooker.
Review: My electric stove made rice cooking a nightmare, so I researched rice cookers on epinions and ended up with this one.
It is large (up to 10 cups of rice, which makes 30 finished cups, I guess). It is simple - one button. It is free of ugly... |

Pros: versatile, easy to use
Cons: utilitarian and not as smart as its more-expensive fuzzy logic cousin
The Bottom Line: Will quickly become a must-have appliance in your kitchen.
Review: I received this rice cooker as part of a cooking class at a local kitchen store. Helen Chen, daughter of Joyce Chen, taught a hands-on class in how to use this versatile appliance. We used this basic rice cooker to make Lemon Custard, Teriyaki Salmon, ...

Pros: Perfect rice EVERY TIME!
Cons: If you don't do it right, it can be messy
Review: I first heard of this product at a cooking class with Helen Chen, the daughter of the famous Chinese chef, Joyce Chen. You may have seen some of the Joyce Chen cookware and utensils on the market. I recommend all of them! But back...

Pros: simple to use, easy clean-up
Cons: none
Review: I would never have thought to buy a rice cooker, but my Korean sister-in-law gave us one for Christmas a few years ago and I *love* it! It makes deliciously sticky rice, but not too sticky. Just right for chopsticks!
I'm really NOT into... |

Pros: Quick & easy to use, reliably makes great rice.
Cons: No cons.
Review: After owning and frequently using our cooker for nearly ten years, I must say that I have NEVER regretted buying this appliance. We used to cook our rice in a pot on the stovetop, but nearly always scorched it, no matter how carefully we watched it. ...

Review: A few months ago, a friend of mine brought over his rice cooker and showed me how it worked. It was a Zojirushi, and I was quite impressed with how easy it was so I decided to buy one for myself. I am quite happy with my purchase.

Pros: Easy to use, well made, quick meals!
Cons: Watch out for the high pressure steam that shoots from the 'steam hole' (ouch!)
Review: I am a self proclaimed gadget addict. However I refuse to recommend any gadget unless it has passed the 'on the counter more than in the cupboard' test. My Zojirushi rice cooker is a machine that has earned its place of honor on my counter. Not only...
