Last review = RUBBISH

by   dan2120 ,  Jun 1, 2007
Pros: Excellent Resolution, cheap for the performance, TV/VIDEO adaptable.
Cons: Fairly narrow illuminator
The Bottom Line: This is perfect for anyone looking for nightvsion. Maybe with the exception of someone needing 1X mag for head gear! Very high quality poece of kit! I loved it!
Review: I sell nightvision and for a while the biggest problem was ensuring the customer wasn't expecting to own what he saw in the last action movie he went to see. With the Stealthview you really can! I admit that as the guy who wrote the previous review ...

Pros: Fair Price..$399.00 Quality build, easy to operate, user friendly
Cons: Drains batteries fairly quickly!Buy batteries in bulk!
Review: What a great piece of equipment!Turns night into day!I tried it out the night I picked it up.It works great!I went to the lake by my house. It was pitch black out.I turned it on and was amazed by what I could see.I could clearly make out a duck that was ...

Compares reasonably to older 1st Generation NV.

by   cj7hawk ,  Oct 19, 2008
Pros: Cheap, well made, easy to use and fun.
Cons: Can't really compete with a decent Gen2.
The Bottom Line: If you need serious night vision, avoid this. Great for kids and general use, but needs the illuminator to see if it's really dark
Review: Not a bad product for the scope, but the hype about being better than Gen2 really is exaggerated. Firstly, the resolution is about 400x300 pixels. Count em - it's not hard, just takes patience. That's like old Analogue TV - still very good, but older ...

Alternative to Light Intensification

by   helpmekirk ,  Dec 8, 2006
Pros: Fair to good black & white image, for the price.
Cons: Not stealthview as claimed.
The Bottom Line: NO IR lights are visible to the observed.
Review: I bought these, as 1st generation light intensification (LI) commonly available has many problems. Succeeding generations of LI are incredibly expensive or not available to Canadians. I want to step outside my house or tent and observe dark areas for ...

Infrared vision device

by   oldhud ,  Jan 31, 2007
Pros: Clear B&W image, long distance IR spotlight, uses AA batteries
Cons: Viewfinder way too bright, spotlight doesn't fill view, not really low light device
The Bottom Line: Good if you can use the built-in illuminator and can deal with the overly bright viewfinder.
Review: This monocular isn't really a light amplifying device like an image intensifier. It is essentially a B&W low-light CMOS camera, like you might find in a video security system, with an LCD display viewfinder and two infrared (IR) illuminators. Like most ...
